Unfortunately, the nib grip section was exposed to some manner of heat damage, and thus the nib itself is inaccessible, but it is either a gold nib or a gold toned steel nib. Even despite the shrinkage from the nib grip, it still writes very well when filled with ink. A lubricated ink will do very well. Or, you can use this pen for parts!
